DEBUG ERROR! MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ DEBUG LIBRARY

Question

This error msg pops up with: c:\program files\microsoft office\office 10\WINWORD.EXE when I try to open MS Word; with little blocks: abort, retry or cancel.  Clicking on retry: Runtime error! pops up. How can I open the application to work in normal mode?   Earlier this evening when I was able to open this application -- I customized my own toolbar.  That's when this problem started.  Opening the application in 'safe mode' shows the original 'format menu bar' and my own customized version, but in the 'safe mode' I can't canx/delete my customized toolbar.  In 'safe mode' I've debugged 'successfully' & reinstalled Office XP Pro and rebooted - successfully.  Please help me.
