Default Email Client not Properly Installed
When I click on an email link within a webpage, I get the message "Cannot perform this function because the default email client is not properly installed."
I am running Windows XP, and I have the same problem when using either IE6 or IE7. This is a relatively new problem for me. I was always able to use the hyperlinks in the past.
I have seen many postings on many bulletin boards about this, and I have tried all the "fixes" I could, but to no avail.
Microsoft is of no help, and doesn't really even respond with an answer to the question. How can I fix this? It's driving me crazy!!
Thanks,

The Search Results window appears.
Click All files and folders.
Type msoe50.inf in the first search field.
Verify the Look In box has the (X: ) drive selected, where X is the drive letter for the primary partiation.(usually the drive letter is C: )
Click the Search button.
Right-click the file and left-click Install.
Repeat steps 2-5 for file Wab50.inf
