Right click on one of each type of graphics file, click open with (not open), click choose program, select the one you want (best to pick one from the recommended list), check the box always use this program to open this type of file, click OK. That will restablish the association of the file type with the chosen program and when you next double click on that type of file, it should open the app you chose.
