DELETING PREVIOUS WINDOWS SEARCHES

i would like to delete the previous entries in windows search. i click 'start', then 'search', then use the ' search companion', then 'all files and folders' and when i type a letter, all the previous searches are listed. I would like to delete these. Is there a way? thanks in advance

Which OS?

Those are stored in the registry, under MRU  Most Recently Used keys, but knowing which one to clear is the trick.

I have not tried this software, but looks like it might be the one needed to easily manage these entries
