Dell can't read english

I have a Inspiron 9100. I uninstalled SP2 on advice of Dell and Microsoft. In an attempt to help others who were considering installing SP2 on this system, even though I know Dell is advising against it but not publicising it, I included an excerpt from the email telling me not to install it that I received from Dell tech support.  I included the tech support name to document that Dell is saying this. I then received a private email from Dell regarding this posting. I am unable to post the email I received from them because they say they will  ban me from the board if I do so. Rather than being able to dispel a rumor I now face persecution by Dell. I am really starting to hate this company.

There is always the Dell forums at: NotebookForums.com. ( it's mostly for laptop users, but everyone is welcome)

Some time ago, I attempted to upgrade my Inspiron 600m to SP@ and got the classic problems - slow speed, crashing, locking up.  After hours with a pretty understanding Dell service tech, he told me to uninstall SP2 and walked me through the system restore.  The system now works.  I did notice that there is a Dell fix for the inspiron 1150 to correct this.  I sent an email to Tech Support asking if there was a fix for my machine or whether I could use the 1150 fix.  The response was and email with a link to the 1150 fix and no other help.  I sent back a rather testy email but have not received a response yet and really don't expect to get one.

I gave up on emails. I don't get answers to my questions. I get rote responses that show a complete lack of understanding on the tech's part. I use the chat support now. If the tech doesn't answer my question I can keep pushing the issue until I get the answer. They actually seem to understand English much better on the chat line. I actually started this post because Dell accused me of posting as an employee when my posting clearly stated that I was posting an email I had received from Dell tech support. People were saying that they couldn't believe Dell was telling people not to install sp2 and I was showing them it was true. Then I get an email from Dell telling me not to post, claiming I was an employee. They didn't actually read my post! Poor, poor english skills!

Where do you go to "chat" with the techs at DELL?
