The service fail to start so the setup of the app cannot end.

@Jaette Thank you. :) This also worked for me.

I've been trying on and off for weeks to resolve ongoing Alienware / Dell installation errors of both Alienware Command Center and Support Assist. I had to rename the folder C:\ProgramData\Dell\UpdateService for each install to get over this problem.   I suspect it was caused by Acronis TrueImage; I disabled Randsomware protection, but I suspect it had already messed up this folder's protection.  I am also running BitDefender Randsomware protection, so it's possible it could be that as well.

@sunny garg32 Dell Alienware software is buggy. Uninstall it and improve your life. 😉

@sunny garg32 my AWCC was not working for months. I gave up trying to fix it.  Then suddenly it started working yesterday. I suggest you install Dell Support Assist or download every Dell driver you can find for Alienware and see if that makes AWCC work.

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/alienware-update/overview

Also, enable all updates for Windows, not just for critical ones.

Thanks but

How do you give permissions to everything in this folder?

Is there an easy way?

Thank you
