Dell D620 Windows XP Drivers, etc. issue

This D620 originally had XP Professional as its OS.  About 1 1/2 months ago, I clean installed Windows 7 on it.  It was not designed to handle Windows 7, and due to certain issues, I went back to XP.  The only XP disk I have is XP Home Edition, which I clean installed this morning.  I am now unable to connect to the internet; I was able to connect to the internet previously.  In Device Manager, I have yellow question marks next to:  Biometric Coprocessor, Data Interface, Data Interface [2 entries for the same title], Ethernet Controller, Network Controller, O2Micro CCID SC Reader, PCI Device, SM Bus Controller, Video Controller.

Suggestions / advice?  Thanks.

Hello. When XP is installed on a Dell laptop there are driver issues if the correct order of installation is not followed, particularly the Notebook System Software first, and Intel Mobile Chipset next. The drivers and utilities are available on the Latitude D620 support page.

Regarding Windows 7 on the D620, have you seen Philip Yip's guide?

Thanks for the help.  I had XP installed, but I was still getting blurry print and icons, plus it's service pack 2, so there is no support for it.  So I reinstalled Windows 7, but I still have blurry print and icons.  I've tried to install a driver from the nVidia website, and from the Dell website (which only provides up to Windows Vista for this computer), without success.  So I'm thinking I need to replace the video card itself.  Suggestions?

Did you use the drivers and BIOS recommended by Philip Yip? He is the forum expert on installing unsupported operating systems.

Other than that, all I can suggest is that you post on the forum's Laptop Video board, or send Philip a private  message.

It looks like NVidia are not supporting Dell Latitude products with the latest driver release.

Provide the Hardware IDs of the video controller, see here:
