Dell Help & Support application - Cannot install latest version 2.6.1.0
I am currently using version 2.5.23.0 of Dell Help & Support.
I am trying to update this application by installing the package from the Dell Support site: Dell-Help-And-Support-Application_695F9_WIN64_2.6.1.0_A00_01.exe.
I get the following error:
"1629: Invalid command line."
The installation does not succeed, even though the installer says the operation was successful.

Post your operating system and model computer for more help with this. Perhaps your model only supports the version you already have. Check all the fields in this article--

Updates to Help are not usually important. Notice that this update is for My Learning Center which you might not use or need or even have.

Model: Dell XPS 8910
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Yes, I don't really need this application. However, according to the Dell Support website I have a Dell computer model and OS that is supported for this update, and I thought that Dell might want to know that this update is not installing properly.

Temporarily change the user's environmental variables TMP and TEMP and from "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp" to "C:\Temp".
The problem is, that the installer extracts it's files into the current user's temp directory and for some reason, if the path contains spaces, it cannot handle this which causes this error.
