dell inspiron e1505 factory restore
hello,
i have an inspiron e1505 that i bought in 2005. i am trying to perform a factory restore on the computer. even after pressing ctrl and f11 at startup i still cant get to the repair sreen and only after pressing f8 can i get to the directory services restore mode or the debugging mode, neither of which lead me to the factory restore menu.
a year ago my internal hard drive had crashed so i had replaced it with a new one. will the image for the factory restore still be there? if so, can i still perform the factory restore?
what do i do? plaese help.....
Thanks!

Welcome to the forums :emotion-21:
I'm afraid not. New drives - or even replacement drives from Dell (unless you specifically asked if they'd pre-image it for you?), are completely blank.
So... as you undoubtedly had to do with the replacement drive... you'll have to 'clean' install the OS and drivers etc yourself :emotion-6:

Hi fearless1356, As TheRealFireBlade says you will have to do an clean install using your disc's. HERE is an support journal on how to install your OP, and HERE is an support journal on how to get your drivers installed, and in what order. Also HERE is an link to your manual.
