dell installed google desktop and error messages

Question

Turned on my computer this am and was greeted by:   1 or more of the following plug in(s) raised and exception and was terminated abnormally   Web Clips   Do you wish to disable the above plug in now?   not having a clue i answered no because i didn't have a year to research the matter which is how long it usually takes me to find an explanation for this kind of stuff!   can anyone explain what this means and how i can fix it   also   is this google so good or would i be better off deleting it if it causes this kind of chaos!   several times i've been told that 'goggle didn't start properly' or some other crazy confusing thing!   Thanks to any kind soul who can answer me

I do not install google desktop (at my work) because these computers are shared (sequentially) by many students (graduate). If any application seemed to be causing me problems, I would certainly remove it from my system. I use a lot from google but the 'desktop' is not one of them.
