Dell Media Experience / Sonic Cineplayer DMX problem

I have a DELL Dimension 3100.  Currently I am having trouble playing DVD's on my PC using Dell Media Experience, Windows media Player or Real Player.  I have no problem playing CD's.

All three bits of software recognise the DVD drive and identify the DVD's.  However when I try and play the DVD I get the following messages:

DELL MEDIA EXPERIENCE / SONIC CINEPLAYER

The PC trys to configure Dell Media Experience and asks for the Dell Media Experience disk to be inserted.  Upon cancelling I then get the following message:
"An installation package for the product Dell Media Experience cannot be found.  Try the installation again using avalid copy of the installation package 'DMX.MSI'.
I found a forum message that sent you to the following Dell web page but I cannot access it.

Can anyone help me solve this problem please?

WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER

I get the message - "Windows Media Player cannot play DVD video."  I believe the problem is linked to the one above - it appears that Windows Media Player does not recognise the Sonic Cineplayer DVD decoder software.

REAL PLAYER

With Real player i get the follwoiing message - "The DVD cannot be played.  Key exchange for DVD copy protection failed. " No idea what this means!

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Did you ever get to the root of the problem? As I to am having the same problem. I keep getting the same message " "An installation package for the product Dell Media Experience cannot be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package 'DMX.MSI'" .Any feed back as to the help you received or the fix or anything that helped to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks In advance. Mikol262

Hi,
I have exactly the same problem - prompts me for DMX.MSI whenever I press the MediaExperience button. I don't have a tools install CD and can't find one to download.
If anyone has a solution, please tell me.
BTW, I have a Dell Inspiron 9400 with XP.
