Dell Operating System Re-Installation Question

Hi,

I plan to run the Dell PC Restore to return my system to its original condition.

I'm not sure that I have the original Resource CDs that came with the system.  Is it essential to have these CDs when running PC Restore (or is this same data saved on my HD somewhere)?

I have ordered the CDs from Dell, but would like to do the PC Restore today for various reasons.

Please let me know...

Thanks!

If you use the built in PC restore by Symantec, no other cd's will be needed.

Back up any data you cannot afford to lose, as all current data will be lost using this restore process.

I would like to change the hard drive and do not have any resource CD either.  Is there any way to generate the system CD and resource CD using any utility on the PC or I have to beg the customer service for the CDs?  My system is out of the warranty already.  Any help in this direction is appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

You cannot make any Dell cd's, start begging  :smileysad:

You can use the "Dell Support Tools" Drivers and Downloads link to the left to get any drivers you need.

Thanks for the quick reply!  I will try to get a copy from them.
