Don't have a clear answer for you, but this morning for the first time I tried looking at Paint Shop, which came with my Dell 8300 about 3 months ago. I found that Paint Shop (basic) can't do much. In order to do any significant editing you have to pay for Paint Shop Pro (Pffft!). Then I opened Dell Picture Studio. As far as I could tell, it is just a front end for Paint Shop. It showed me all the same stuff as far as I could tell. Maybe I'm missing something, but what's the difference between Dell Picture Studio and Paint Shop?? I guess the next step is to find out what Paint Shop Pro costs. For years I've been using Corel Photohouse 3 for my meager needs and have been quite satisfied. It looked to me like Paiint Shop is very complicated with lots of steps to take to get anything done. Of course, Paint Shop Basic doesn't do much of anything.
