Dell Purchase Order - Cryptic Descriptions

Dell is so cryptic in describing exactly what you are shipped when you buy a system, it's always a chore to interpret them..

Can someone please interpret the following line of the order:

Item                Description
420-5646        WINXP MCE 2005,ENG,DIM,NM,NA,U

I am trying to determine exactly which version of XP I received... Cust Svc. tells me there are 2 versions of XP Media Center Edition (B and U).  What is the difference and does the U on that line specify I got the U version?   Also what is NM,NA...

Perhaps Dell could put a legend on the order???

It's best to print out the Summary order sheet instead and save it to do an inventory check when receiving a new computer. The rest of the line: English version, Dimension, No Media (but this doesn't mean you didn't get it further on down the list--make sure you did, you need it for reinstalls.) There's only one current version--the U might mean you get the Updated version instead of the older one--maybe Basic? NA means not applicable.

Thanks Mary.
I think you have it.....  NM probably does mean no media as my daughter did not get the WinXP disk in the box......  It seems Dell's new policy is to install Windows but not to give you the disk....

It seems there are a couple of ways to restore your system via a deal they have working with Symantec for some sort of partition they have set aside on the HD should you damage windows... But this policy is no use when you lose your hard drive and need to re-install windows. From what I hear you then have to contact Dell and wait for a disk...

That's why I was wanting to know the version and get Dell to send out the disk...

Thanks for your reply..
