dell studio xps 8100
i went into msconfig on windows 7, then went on to the boot section, then clicked advanced options, after that i ticked the number of processors and changed it from 1 to 8, then i had to restart my pc now windows does not boot up even if i try safe mode can i somehow reset the setting i have changed via the command prompt i have tried system restore but this hasnt worked can anyone help?

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
You could press F8 while booting up and choose the option that reads "Last Known Good Configuration" to see if that will get the system back to normal. If not, you will need to format and reinstall Windows.
