Ok cheers for that. Noticed that I could download the diagnostics but the install instructions sounded rather technical......something about running it in the correct partition of the hard drive...choose this and that !!!! Sounded far to difficult for me, I'd be happier(and safer) just running from the disk. Do I get the disk direct from Dell, do they charge?
What you quote doesn't sound like the right information. The instructions for obtaining and running the Dell Diagnostics are
here. Dell does not provide replacement diagnostic CDs.
I must be a space cadet! I didn't see that info when I searched. Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction and the quick replies, appreciate it.

You can't get another copy of the diagnostics disk, but Dell diagnostics can be downloaded from the Dell Support site.
