Dell Support Software (?) Problem (bcont.exe)
My Dell Inspiron Laptop running Windows Vista pops up a browser window every 5-10 minutes that says "could not find the page you are looking for", etc. By using the task manager, I found out that the process that causes this is something called bcont.exe. I searched for bcont.exe on my computer and found it within a VB Script file called "Delljob_CR5" within the Program Files/Supportsoft/dellcoms/"myusername"/temp folder. I tried deleting the VB script file. It works until I reboot, and then it comes back.
Avast doesn't seem to think that bcont.exe or the VB Script file is a virus.
How can I permanently get rid of this Script file or simply make the pop-ups stop?
Thanks for your help.

Hi s.hasselblad,
The “bcont.exe” file is associated with Dell Support Center which is a program for checking manuals, alerts, basic diagnostics, etc. Uninstalling and re-installing the application will help.
To Uninstall Dell Support Center, please follow the steps below:
1.Click “Start.”
2.Click “Control Panel.”
3.Click “Programs” or “Programs and Features.”
4.Right-click “Dell Support Center.”
5.Click “Uninstall.”
6.Follow the prompts to complete uninstallation.
This will stop the bcont.exe pop-up. Install the new version of Dell Support Center from the link below.

Double click on the downloaded file to start the installation. Restart the computer. Please reply to this message if you need further assistance.

Adding to what Rajath mentioned; BCONT.exe is a part of Dell Support Center 2. Dell Support Center is now up to version 3.2 and available at the link Rajath provided.
