Dell Wheel optical mouse will not scroll in Auto CAD R14

Question

I was wandering if anyone installed IntelliPoint 5.0 with the standard Dell Wheel optical mouse, and had any problems?  I am trying to get the wheel to scroll in AutoCAD R14.  It works in every other program installed on the machine.  I have been reading some other posts and it seems that Intellipoint 4.12 might be a better driver.  Can anyone shed some light on this? I don't know the solution but have seen similar problems. Works in some programs, not in others.

Our IS department fixed mine at work after months of complaining. Trouble is they did it while I was on vacation and I couldn't find out what they did!

My boss just hit this problem yesterday, it was working, now it isn't. If he gets it resolved, I will post it but it may be weeks.

Have you tried on the AutoCAD forum to see what others are doing?

Thanks for the links. I am in the process of checking them out. I installed Intellipoint 4.12 and I have had better luck. The wheel does scroll. I think 4.12 is a better driver than 5.0. I have a posting at the autodesk site as well. I'll keep you posted.
