dellvistaupgrade.com Not working?

I bought a Dell Inspiron 6400 in November

I waited the 2 weeks to go to www.dellvistaupgrade.com

But up to today i keep getting error or page not connecting or try again later or dell page is down today and so on...

Is there an alternative website or phone number

the release date is a day away now, I'll have my own copy for my pc before dell give me the chance which is mad seen as i ordered it today and bought from dell 3 months ago

What i don't understand is why when i bought this laptop didn't Dell just charge me the delivery cost and just send me out the disc when it was available

I could have waited and bought the laptop now but it was a present for my mother.


So is the page working, anybody else have problems

I'm living in Ireland, yet this shouldn't be the problem.

Oh and if Microsoft are listening(i now its nothing to do with dell) why are the prices for vista twice the US prices

After helping out in all the beta's,you would think in giving us Euro people a break for once, to late now though because i already paid out.


I think for you dell manufacturers how about making a keyboard that actually works, no matter what i do a key never presses hard enough and i miss a letter or 2, and when typing a letter this gts annoying and after spendin €1700 on a laptop, just an idea the keyboard is important too

i don't know if thats true but my main problem is i have tried to order((the delivery) for the past 3 months to no avail
and the offer runs out in march

and they will prob. say i didn't order in time

by the way dell is prob. waiting for sp1 to come out

A response from a moderator(dell) would be nice by the way!

We're aware of problems with the site & working to resolve the access issues right now. We have also fixed a database error that was preventing some people from registering. More about that here:

The site should be back up at this point. If you're still having issues please contact Dell Customer Care at 800-624-9897 and they should be able to help you process the upgrade.

Just wanted to let everyone know there is an update on the Dell blog on the upgrades and when they will begin shipping.
