How can I change the desktop icon spacing? the horz. and ver. I can only get 6 icons in a colum. Also the icon size changes each time I reboot.

It should not change when you reboot. To size icons right click the desk topgo to view and all of your icon options are there. I like medium myself. but on small you can fit a ton of them on the desktop.

Try this to eliminate the spacing problem.  Right click on the desktop, go to view, and uncheck the align to grid feature.  This should allow you to position icons anywhere on the desktop.  I hope this helps.
