Diff between Windows XP Install NTFS quick format and full format

Question

Hi again!  Can anyone tell me the difference between the quick format and the full format when installing Windows XP NTFS option?   I understand that most recommend a quick install but what am I giving up? Also, if I install XP Home on one of my computers but don't activate it yet and then change my mind and want to put it on a different computer, can I do that without calling Microsoft? 'Quick Format' Performs a quick format. Deletes the file table and the root directory of a previously formatted volume but does not perform a sector by sector scan for bad areas. You should use the  Quick Format option to format only previously formatted volumes that you know are in good condition. -------------- If you haven't Activated Windows you can use the XP CD on another Computer.
