Dimension 4400 (LdrEnumerateLoadModules) Entry Point Not Found Error

Went to use my computer and saw the above error message on the blue screen of death. 
 
At start up I can press F8 and tell it to go to Safe Mode but it eventually comes up with the same error message.
 
I can also press F2 and enter bios settings.  Changed settings to have it boot to CD rom which has my original restore disk.  The computer won't or can't see the CD Rom and therefore ends up with the same error message.
 
Drop back and punt or?
 
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

were there any error codes?  0x000...........  be exact

Yes, the ntdll.dll is a critical system file that has become corrupted. You can run the Dell hardware diagnostics on that drive, depending on the system you have, you may have the dignostics partition on that problem drive.

The only error code was what I posted in the subject title.  That was the following:
 
STOP: c0000139 [entry point not found]
 
"The procedure entry point LdrEnumerateLoadedModules could not be located in the dynamic link library ntdll.dll"
 
Since I originally made the post on this forum I've swapped a known good hard drive into my computer and everything works like it should.  Now I know the problem lies with my hard drive.

Thanks for the reply.  I don't mean to be sarcastic but how do I run diagnostics on a hard drive that I can't even access? 
 
Pressing F12 brings up  the option to select which drive to boot from but I can't even boot to my CD Rom drive to run anything.

Diagnostics runs at a lower level, it will at least tell you if the drive is dead. I do not know what problem you have booting from CD, has nothing to do with the hard drive.
 
You can go into the bios and set cdrom as first boot device.
