I just reinstalled to factory settings using the CD/DVD.  The drivers loaded but I'm misssing the Ethernet controller and SMbus controller.

I can't find a NIC driver download.  Any ideas?

Hi dougelsass,

Please check if the drivers are installed in the order given in the link below after the Operating system reinstallation:

To get drivers for your computer, click on the link below, enter the systems service tag and click Submit. Select the Operating system from the drop down list:

Revert for further queries.

The drivers and downloads pages are quite buggy which is why I prefer the Dell FTP website which lists everything as a direct link and has less scripting errors.

Note if you are Reinstalling Windows XP, it is now an obsolete OS and its installation is not recommended.

For more information see Windows XP End of Life - April 2014:

It is recommended to upgrade this machine to Windows 7 or 8.1. For more details see Windows Reinstallation Guide/A Clean Install of Windows 7/8.1:

Dell do not provide up to date drivers for use with Windows 7 so I have made an unofficial driver set for Windows 7 64 Bit:
