dimensions 3000 Ethernet controller driver

Help! I reinstalled Windows on my dimensions 3000. Everything is working except the following drivers: Ethernet controller, multimedia audio controller, video controller (VGA compatible) all of these have ?! Next to them in device manager. Bought my computer in December 2004 and that control f11 command doesnt work and dell says they no longer ship the resource cd. Can't download anything because the Ethernet driver isn't working. I went to drivers but can see no Ethernet driver. Any ideas?

You will have to download these drivers on a computer that has a working internet connection (LIKE THE ONE ON WHICH YOU ARE READING THIS MESSAGE), then copy the driver installation files to removable media and walk them to the 3000.  Make sure you install the chipset drivers before even attempting to install other device drivers.  If you don't install in the correct order, be prepared to start all over with a reformat and reinstallation of Windows.   Your ethernet controller driver is the integrated network controller under Network on the download site for your model.

Thanks. I'm using my iPhone now and am going to have a friend create a download cd for me. Dell shipped the operating system, drivers and utilities for the modem, and an application for sonic recordnow with the computer when I bought it. So... I just need to download the chipset and network drivers? What drivers controls the audio and video? It appears I have no sound and my resolution is very low. Really appreciate your help.

Yes, you will have to get the audio driver and the video driver (fortunately there is only one of each of these devices listed on the download site for your computer:
