Direct Player 5.0 Message

I have a Dimension 9100 with Windows XP Media Center operating system.  When my system is idle for a few minutes, a message pops up with the title: Direct Player 5.0.  The message reads, “This program requires at least 3MB of free virtual memory to run.”

It does not affect the normal operations of the computer, but it is annoying.  This is probably a software issue, but wanted to ask others with the same system.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Thanks and hope someone can help!
