Directcd

I noticed recently that Directcd was no longer operating on my system (probably since SP2 install). I found a text note that says that "The software for Adaptec DirectCD is not compatible with this version of Microsoft Windows and will be disabled during the upgrade.". If I start DirectCD.exe it seems to work. Is there a replacement available for this software?

Although DirectCD seems to provide convenience, from my point of view, the potential for problems far outweighs the convenience. My suggestion would be to use the XP CD burning wizard, which will work fine with multi-session burning.

Good advice!

Otherwise the upgrade ($$) would be to buy V7 and use Drag to Disc, which replaced DCD starting in V6.

Thanks for the advice. I normaly use Nero for most of my disk burning. I have been using a r/w disk to save backups from Microsoft Money. Directcd handles the opening and closing of the scession automatically, works just like a floppy. Drag and drop will not work for this. Thanks again.
