DirectX 9.0c

Greetings: I own a Dimension 9200 and need to upgrade my DirectX 9.0b to v9.0c. Upgrading DirectX has never been a problem in the past on my other/older computers, but this upgrade simply won't take. I downloaded the 9.0c update from Microsoft and it seemed to run just fine (even claimed that the DirectX files had been upgraded, but they have not been). I also found one of my older XP Home disks and was able to roll the present DirectX 9.0b back to v8.1, but I am still unable to get the 9.0c upgrade to take.

Does anyone know why I am having this problem and what a solution to it might be?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Helmec, thanks for your reply. This link you gave me is to the site that I downloaded DX 9.0c from a couple of days ago, and I still have that download saved on my HD. As I said before though, when I run it, it acts as if it's installing the upgrade, but it doesn't end up doing so. Is there something else I should be looking for/downloading at MS's DX web site so that the upgrade will finally install?

Thanks!
