Disappearing Shortcuts

Question

Shortcuts keep disappearing from my desktop. I think the computer is deleting one that I don't use often. What can I do to make it stop doing this?

Hi:

Right click an empty area of your desktop, and select Properties.

Select Desktop tab> Customize Desktop button.

Under the General tab, Uncheck the box next to "Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days"
