disk cleanup --- msg asking to restore Window
While doing my regular disk cleanup, the process stopped and a message came up:
"file that are required for windows to tun properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions. to maintain system stability Windows must restore the original versions of these files.
Insert your now "
I inserted the system CD, and then got an error CD message. The system was basically freezed.
I have XP window media, and was purchased only 2 months ago.
what should I do???

See if this will run to completion.
Go to Start|Run, enter sfc /scannow and click OK. There is a space after sfc. You may be prompted to insert your XP CD into the CD-ROM drive.
