Disk performance after cloning to an SSD
We have an Inspiron 3847 and recently installed a Crucial 500 GB SSD. We cloned the operating system to the new drive, updated the Intel chipset drivers and BIOS. However, we're not getting the full punch of performance the SSD should be giving us.
I went into BIOS and SATA mode is on AHCI and also disabled OS protection. What else should I set? The operating system is definitely starting from the SSD as the performance is better, but it's only at half of what others are showing they got with CrystalMark.
Thanks!

I never compared performance with with PNY SSD, but I did update the firmware for it.

If you don't get the best performance of an SSD drive, you can try to align SSD partitions with 4K, which proves to be very effective in boosting data reading and writing performance of solid-state drive.
