Disk space disappeared

Question

I have recently installed SP2 and noticed that after installing, my hard drive (C:\) shows as being 27.8GB, but with only 4.6GB free space. I don't have many programs installed (the total of all files on C:\ is less than 7GB).   I have tried disc cleanup, including removing system restore points. I have done scandisk, but it brings up nothing. I also tried defragmenting, which showed that the vast majority of the disk is an immovable block of data in the middle of the disk.   Any ideas how I can get my lost disk space back?!   Ian Barrett.

This same thing is happening to me! I didn't notice it for awhile so I'm not sure if it happened right after I installed SP2. I don't know what the issue is.
