when i put in my service tag and it gave me 11 drivers...im guessing the communication drivers are the ones for the modem??theres 3 of em..do you want my service tag so you can see what drivers pop up for me?
Sorry for being a N00b...so i got my product key and punched it in and it came up with 11 drivers instead of 72..that i could deal with, so i just saved em all onto my flashdrive and when i get home, im gonna plug in my flash drive and see where that takes me...

If you get the wrong modem driver you will not cause any problems with the computer. At worst, it will install but not recognize the modem, and thus not work. It should, however, tell you that it failed to find the correct hardware and abort the install (unless you have the correct driver).

The Dim2400 uses the following drivers:
- Intel 845GV chipset driver
- Intel Extreme Integrated Video Driver
- ADI 1981b integrated audio driver
- Broadcom 10/100 Integrated NIC driver
- Broadcom Advance Control Suite
If you have added anything to the system (e.g., video or sound card) you would need to get the appropriate driver for that as well.helmecj01
