Dual Core Processor - Increase Performance
I have a 2.13 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor running Windows Xp Home. I saw this Hotfix on Microsoft.com knowledge based about increasing performance with Dual Core Processors.
Has anybody downloaded this?
If you have, have you experienced better performance?

On mine, the clock goes from 1.6 to 2.4 when running just one app. That is the desired behavior.

If you aren't using speedstep, then there is nothing to fix.
I would suggest using speedstep, because it saves power and heat and retains performance (the fix is there to prevent a performance loss with speedstep).
However, if you think this is a big deal, just ignore it. Life will go on.
