E-mail Problem With Outlook Express

I am encountering problems sending e-mail. When I attempt to send e-mail, I get error # 0x80004005 with the message that the "Message size is too large". The file size is 900KB. Am having no problem receiving e-mail, only responding or sending. What can I do to correct this problem?
