Eject iPod in Vista

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me?

I have a Dimension 9200, and have downloaded version 7.1.1 of iTunes, but it seems that I now have to download a fix for the issue of ejecting my iPod from my syastem using the Safely Remove Hardware function to avoid wiping all my music. I've gone to the Microsoft site to download the patch but it only gives the options to download updates for Windows Vista x86-based versions or Windows Vista 64-bit versions. I know that my Vista Home Premium is 32-bit. Do I download the x86 version?

How do i find which version (out of these two) I have on my machine?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
