What email software are you using, or are you using hotmail account to forward these messages? I know other people have exactly the same problem when the original message is from an AOL sender and is then forwarded from a hotmail account.

Save the attachment, rename the extension .txt to .jpg

I have to do that with files sent to me from an AOL user. But usually it is already called a .jpg, but when saved, it does not have the .jpg extension

Besides .jpg, you can try .bmp, .gif, .png, etc.

I,m using the hotmail account but it doesn't just happen with aol messages. I have been saving the attachments .It just gets frustrating when all you use to have to do was click forward and the message would go. I'M wondering if some of these new updates have anything to do with it. Thank you for all for replying
