Error Message - "qbw32-bad image" and .dll errors, "not valid windows image", etc.
I have installed Quickbooks and it won't open - get the following message: C:\windows\system32\oledlg.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.
I also get error message when I open up Word:
"The create Adobe PDF monitor cannot be found. Please reinstall Create Adobe PDF." But, I can still open it up. It does this in Adobe Photoshop as well.
And, when I tried to load Turbo Tax 2004, it wouldn't let me and gave me this message:
"Could not load custom dialog DLL. C:\DOCUME~\Lisa\locals~1\Temp\{5E54F69F-5525-4EB7-B1CE-37B22FD38282}\{D14E3D40-2004011D3-BFBF-00A0248F3321}\CsDlgPer.dll)"
Does anyone know what is going on here? I tried the free editions of Spybot and Adware and it found lots of stuff, but once removed, these problems haven't gone away. Thanks for any help you can give me.

For two of the problems (TurboTax and oleldg.dll) see this. The damaged .dll file may be causing the TurboTax problem. To replace the corrupted file, go to Start|Run, enter sfc /scannow and click OK. (There is a space after the sfc.) You may be prompted to insert your Windows XP reinstallation CD.
For the Adobe problem, see this.
