error message

When I try to go to some websites I receive this, C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLLdnserror.htm.Page cannot be displayed. I have checked for viruses and got rid of parsites.I cannot get to live updates on Norton's antivirus to get updates. I am also getting an error when I start my computer. could not Execute main: the system cannot find file specified. Please Help. Thanks in advance for any help I get!!!!

Then your first step is to resolve this problem, since you have no way of knowing whether you have a virus that might post-date your last virus definition update.  Is your subscription current?  If not, then you need to (possibly pay to) renew it.  If your subscription is current, then you need to post the error message(s) you receive when you try to download/install the latest updates.  You also need to specify which specific version of Norton Anti Virus you have installed.

You also need to post the complete contents of the "could not Execute main: the system cannot find file specified" error message you're getting.  There should be more details to that message.

Hello!  I am receiving that same message (ERROR: Could not execute main: The System cannot flnd the file specified) when i turn on my computer.  I am running Windows XP and after I boot it up and then log under my user the message pops up immediately.  When I log on as a Guest the message is not displayed.  Any different advice?  Many Thanks.
