Error Messages, Preventing future system Problems
I had a few questions about error messages and preventing another system failure. I finally reloaded everything back into my computer with only a little loss of data after I had to do a clean reinstall of Windows XP. I was able to take out my hard drive and copy some files.
I would like to know what I can do to properly back things up so I do not have to spend four days reinstalling everything. I have used the system restore function but that does not seem to put everything back (files, etc.) the way they were at the designated checkpoint.Another concern is that I have already got some error messages. These are little boxes – one said Runtime error 217 at 02A7EAEA shortly after copying some files over. This evening I got one with an error code 215. These are infrequent but I am concerned that I am getting them at all. Are these anything to be concerned about? Other than this so far everything is working well.
One more question: Everytime I post a message here with my reloaded system I get a red message about an invalid or malformed HTML tag and the following line is added inside my message to this forum:
?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
I typed my letter in microsoft word and then copied it to this forum. Is this a sign there is something wrong with my system or word program?
