Error messages

Question

When I start up my notebook (E1505) I get the following error on a blue screen 'unmountable_boot_volume'. also while running diagnostic testing i get the following error codes:   0f00:0244 0f00:1a44 4c00:021d   any help would be greatly appreciated. If more info is needed please let me know

You could try checking/repairing the disk with XP.

Insert your XP installation disk and reboot
Run Setup and choose Recovery Console which is the first "R" you come to (Only a couple of pages into setup)

At the command prompt type

chkdsk /r (there is a space before /)
enter
Exit

If that does not help it looks like a new hard drive
