ESP NT Service Launcher error

At anytime, I get a M/S pop-up window that the nt service launcher has failed and needs to send in error report, I examined the error and it is AppName: syssvcnt.exe   szAppVer:3.01.5   modname: kernel32.dll   sz mod ver:5.1.2600.2945  offset 00009783. The debug is at C\docume~1\ron(ron is me)\LOCALS~Temp\WER6d1c.dir00\sersycnt.exe.mdmp    and \appcompat.txt...
After sending error to MS I get the following pop-up   Instruction at 0x660d642e  ref mem at 0x000000030 could not be read.   After closing I can continue working or playing on the net, but one of the messages in the windows says any work I have done may have been lost...This message is always the same.
Do I have a H/W problem and need to put in a call or is it S/W, MS, or something else.
Thanks for any help. Ron

I would do a search on your C drive for "syssvcnt.exe" (be sure the search in hidden folders is selected in advanced search options) This is the application that is causing the problem, then you can disable this program or reinstall it. I googled it and came up dry. Or this could be malware on your system?

Big thanks MOMBODOG. You got me to the right files and it turns out to possibly be my ISP's security suite causing the problem. They had me download some patches from them and MS after I reloaded. Will see what happens

Can you please tell me what the outcome of your syssvcnt.exe  error resolution was?? I am having the same problem and I'd like to try to determine which ISP's security suite caused your problem and see if it is mine also. Where did you find the patches to download? Were they 'patching' the security suite or the syssvcnt.exe  application? Thanks inadvance for any other info that you can provide. Cheers.

Cox (the cable company is my isp.). I gave up trying to work with them on it and uninstalled their sec. suite and reinstalled norton. so far I haven't had any more problems and things seem to be running faster.
