sorry! i'm running on vista and the source of the error says "diagnostics-performance".

i mostly get the 400 and 401 event logs - the 100 - 200 range are only a few and they were apparently 2 weeks ago.

Are you experiencing any problems?

All I can find is this.

" You can safely ignore these events."

i'm not experiencing any problems.

i'm just wondering what those numbers mean so that i have a clue as to what is causing it to happen.

I don't know what those numbers,who does.

This is why I asked you what the source is.If the number and source are known just google them. Also highlight the error in event viewer>right click>properties will give a clue.

when you click on the link in the event viewer, it will bring you to a small page showing the file associated with the error then you can search that file on google, (hint) at least once or twice you will see that every file is a virus, please disreguard this and search more if you see this.
