heraturs,

You can first check if the file is read-only, on a read only location, or on a remote server. If the file is on a read only location or on a remote server, then try to copy the file from the read-only location or server to a writable drive on the local computer. The make sure you remove the read-only attribute of the Excel file by following the steps below.

Step 1

Click “Start,” then click All Programs, and then click Microsoft Office. Click Microsoft Excel to launch the Excel program.

Step 2

Click the “Office Orb” on the top left of the screen and click Open to open the document that you would like to disable read-only for.

Step 3

Click the orb again and then click Save As to launch the Save dialog box.

Step 4

Click the “Tools” button next to “Save.” Click General Options.

Step 5

Uncheck the box next to “Read-only” and then click “OK.”

On the File menu, click Open.
In the Open dialog box, select the file you want to open, and click the arrow next to the Open button.
Click Open and Repair,  then choose which method you want to use to recover your workbook.
Choose Repair option if you want to recover as much data as possible from the corrupt file.
If Repair does not work, then use Extract Data to try to extract cell values and formulas from the file.

Below are some links that should help you resolve this Excel Error.
