exception code 0xc0000005 with firefox and IE

Question

every time i run either firefox or IE i am prompted with a debug/send error report/don't send window for exception code 0xc0000005. i have installed all service packs and updates. i run trend-micro PC-cillin internet security and it up to date and has run virus scans regularly. i have also run a litany of registry cleaners etc to no avail. as long as i do not click on any of the buttons on the debug/send error report/don't send window, i can surf just fine. i have searched online but it seems that most people encounter this error with other applications.

Try uninstalling Firefox.

i figured it out. somehow after my fourth virus scan in the past two days, i found a trojan and removed it. everything is OK now.

Ok, just a little tip. Try in a command window (start, Run, CMD) and type 'netsh winsock reset' without the quotes. It may remove some of the mess the trojan did in Your computer. And in fact may make Your computer run slightlie smoother.
