I don't have the answer, but if this is occurring during the shutdown, will it shutdown anyway?? If so, I wouldn't worry about it. I used to get a similar message from Avast anti-virus during shutdown.(every so often) I did not click, "OK", I waited and it shutdown anyway.
Are you having any other problems?? Do you scan for viruses and spyware? Any new programs added??
Hey I started having the same problem I have tried everything, except format the HD. I even called Dell services who then gave me another number to call which did not answer. Very upsetting out of the four laptops I purchase two of them are getting this error all of them have the same exact image of course using there respected ELUA's
Make sure you've got real antivirus and antispyware software installed, and I would try running Dell's diagnostics and then Memtest from Memtest.org overnight. (Okay, I'm just stealing my answer from a couple of years ago :) )
Memtest couldn't hurt. I found out my problem was a running program not shutting down properly. After disabling all startup programs, I not longer had the error. Then I added a program, one at a time to find the culprit. It was my Firewall program. I reinstalled it, and it was fine.
