Explorer.exe - Application Errors - Windows XP Home SP2 - I E 6

The following has occurred on several occasions recently upon completion of back up of My Pictures folder to CD-RW and CD-R, as well as at the start of clicking a shortcut to a video game installed on my hard drive from a CD:

The exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c81eb33.

Explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.  You will need to restart the program.

DrWatson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I would appreciate any recommendations concerning this issue.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not too familiar with your issue, usually Explorer crashing can be remedied though.   Try tweaking your overall configuration settings, and be sure you're doing the pictures to cd process properly.  Not sure what Watson might be trying to tell you, so explore that too.  Good luck.

Thanks for your input gg.

The more I encounter IE problems, the more I think an alternative browser is the way to go.
