Explorer.exe error MXSVSLHP.DLL (?)

I just installed VCOM System Suite 6 on my Dell Dimension(?) running Windows ME. As soon as it installed and restarted I get an explorer error that won't go away. I think the above mentioned dll is the file. When I checked resources it says it is shared by explorer and licensing manager. I entered in the serial number on installation of system suite and there's no where else it asks for any licensing information. I can't even get to the internet to download anything to fix the error. It will log onto the internet but then just freezes up and I have to shut it down by powering off. I was able to run virus scan, spyware scan and defrag the computer but I can't see how much space is left because if I try to open my computer to look and I close the explorer error - it won't open. Any ideas how to fix this?

thanks!

Have you tried uninstalling the VCOM program?  From what I can see this dll is a part of the VCOM package and may be the source of a conflict with other things you are doing.  You might try posting a message to the VCOM folks to see if they have a resolution for you.

Also, you might want to see this:

Look toward the middle of the page for the heading of Repair Layered Service Provider Problems.  I don't guarantee that the fix they discuss will fix your particular problem.  Or, it might fix it and kill the VCOM software.

Good luck!

Thanks Jack, I'll try that. VCOM doesn't seem to have a message board and their technical support is in canada with no 800 number. I did see something earlier that said that if any other anti virus software was running during the install it could cause this error. I had norton running. I'll deinstall and reinstall and hopefully that will fix it. Thanks!
