Juan Pablo,

Sounds like you may have Windows XP Starter Edition in Spanish, released in Mexico June 2005.

Does your Windows XP ever speak English?

Juan Pablo,

OK. Spanish is your default language. Safe Mode gives same error. Have you tried Last Known Good Configuration?  If so and got the same result, you will need to repair your Windows installation.
Put your Windows XP CD in the CD drive. Restart your computer. Press any key to boot from CD when prompted.  Select R to repair your existing Windows installation.  This should fix your problem.

Juan Pablo,

Could only find two references to an error of your type. See these links:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;190196

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;243668

Both make reference to ActiveX commands causing such a problem.  Since ActiveX objects are often components of malware, I suspect you have a serious virus infection that is trying to initialize at the command level during Windows XP boot up.  Since you cannot boot up in Safe Mode, your only option may be to boot up on your Windows XP installation CD and attempt to Repair your Windows installation. If you have any external devices attached to your USB ports, disconnect them. Be sure to go into your BIOS setup and make your CD drive the first boot device. Restart your computer. Press any key when prompted to boot from CD. Run the Repair option.

If this does not fix your problem, let me know.

ok, now i have another problem, when i try to repair windows it asks me for an administrator password, i guess that is the password i wrote like 3 years ago when i installed windows and i cant remember it, i have been trying to remeber it but after like 2 hours of writting wrong passwords i havent been able to remember it, besides every 3 wrong passwords i have to restart the pc again and its really annoying, if you know another way of repairing it or some way to get the password i would really thank you for that, i have been searching and i found a program called ''Proactive System Password Recovery''

--A program to recover all types of Windows passwords: logon password (when user is logged on and has Admin privileges), screensaver password, .NET Passport password, SYSKEY startup password, passwords in cached credentials, RAS and dial-up passwords, passwords to shared resources etc. The program also shows all users and groups (with their properties), allows to run any programs in other user's context, show password histrory hashes, read password hashes from SAM and SYSTEM files, reveal passwords hidden under the asterisks, enable disabled controls, and run brute-force and dictionary attacks on PWL files (Windows 9x). Finally, it shows product ID and CD key for Windows and Microsoft Office installations. Registered version costs $60 (personal license) or $120 (business license).---

i dont know if this would really works or if this program is used for something totally different and i was wondering if i could install this in my machine and make it work using cmd commands or something like that.... i would appreciate any help...

in this moment im making a virus scan in the pc, maybe i could find something, and i will continue trying to get the correct  password when the scan finishes

PD: sorry for my spelling but English is not my natal language

thanks

Juan Pablo,

Here's a free version that will let you clear or change your password:

http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html

Download  bd050303.zip. Read instructions.  Create boot disk. Reboot your computer with the Linux disk created.  Everything  is in text. Easy to follow.

As to the language problem. I don't speak Spanish. Speak a little French. Can usually decipher basic problems such as yours from similarity of context and bug check numbers.

Juan Pablo,
Yes.  Click on Start|Run. Type msconfig. Click OK.  Click on the BOOT.INI. Click  "Check All Boot Paths".  If you see "It appears that the following line in the BOOT.INI file does not refer to a valid operating system:" and that line refers to the  second boot path, click Yes to remove it.

Hi, after a few weeks i tried testing the program you told me to use, but it didn work on my pc, so i had to backup my files in a hard disk, format  and reinstall windows completely, I wanted to thank you for all you help and time and i have a last question:

after reinstalling windows when i boot my pc it seems like it recognize to WINDOWS XP installed on my pc, so I have to choose on which do i want to boot, number one boots perfectly and works fine but number two says that one file is missing. what i want to know is if there is any form to make my pc boot always from number one that is the only one that works and to delet the other that i suppose is nothing because i guess that you can not install windows xp twice in the same pc, or maybe is a reg entry that i can delet manually, anyway if there is any solution i would appreciate the help but i guess is not a problem just pressing enter each time i but my pc.

Thank for everything again
