f2 during boot
I'm trying to access the setup menu while the computer boots. When I've pushed F2, I get an error message that says "keyboard failure" and windows starts. Then the mouse is disabled. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

If you are trying to get into the BIOS menu F2 should be the correct key. When you see the Dell logo press F2. Don't hold the key in as this can cause problems on some computers. Some BIOS looks for stuck keys, which would then give a keyboard error. You could also try F12; my computer will let me access the BIOS settings both ways. If you still get the error, perhaps the keyboard is faulty..try another keyboard if possible.
F8 is the key you would press AFTER the Dell logo to access Windows options.
