FACTORY IMAGE RESTORE PROBLEM

Kia ora from New Zealand. I have previously reinstalled VISTA using the VISTA DVD (Can't remember why I didn't just use Factory Image Restore)  Anyway when I go to the Factory Image Restore it says there is an error and I should reinstal the FIR from the DVD media.  I have looked at the VISTA and the DELL drivers dvd and can't find any mention of the FIR.  Can anyone help please?  Thanks.
